KITT (Knight Rider)

KITT is the nickname of the fictional car and character from the 80s TV adventure series Knight Rider created by Glen A. Larson and starring David Hasslehoff as Michael Knight. KITT, a modified 1982 Pontiac Trans Am, was equipped with numerous special features such as “Alpha Circuit”, the main control system which allows the CPU to drive the car “himself”. It has futuristic Dashboard dubbed the cockpit, it was equipped with several gadgets like Turbo Boost, (which allowed quick bursts of speed or jumping over obstacles), a front mounted scanner bar that allowed KITT to see, Computer AI that is essentially an advanced supercomputer on wheels. The “brain” of KITT is the knight2000 microprocessor which allowed KITT to think, learn, communicate and interact with humans, micro scanner, different cruise modes (normal, auto cruise, pursuit, & a  refit in the 1985 season included the addition of “Super Pursuit Mode” and a convertible top.

In 2015, this KITT Replica was autographed by David Hasslehoff (Michael Knight), and then it was named JEFFKITT. It was featured in Tele-Mag TV, “Passion Auto Retro”.
